Entry #6: Dietary supplements are lifesavers.
As I have gotten older I have begun to realize just how unhealthy most people are. For instance according to this CDC article, only about "1 in 10 adults" are eating enough vegetables or fruits. Although I hate to admit it, I am most certainly among those 9 out of 10 adults who do not eat enough fruits or vegetables. While I was in high school, I remember the only times I would ever eat a vegetable or fruit was when I was forced to by my parents, it was getting so bad that I probably ate around 4 fruits in my sophomore year of high school. Obviously, at the time I did not think much of it, however, reflecting on it now that's a terrible way to live, fruits and vegetables have a lot of the necessary nutrients (vitamins and minerals) that we need to live healthy lives. Although it may be difficult for most people to get their necessary amount of greens and vitamins in, there is a solution that I have been utilizing for the past year.
