Entry #3: Winter Wonderland In My Mouth
I always like to eat spicy foods such as spicy ramen and spicy curry, I even like to drizzle hot sauce on food that others may not think requires hot sauce. I love the heat these food bring, even though they are equivalent to the Sahara desert, they are still enjoyable for the flavor and taste they bring. Upon eating these spicy foods most people would naturally reach for dairy products such as milk, or even ice cream to cool their mouths off from the diabolical heat that spicy foods bring with them. However, unlike others, I calm my mouth off from this heat in a different way, even though chugging milk like this:

This different method includes reaching into a special cabinet in my home and pulling out a red plastic container that when shaken, sounds as though you are shaking a container slightly filled with rocks. It does not, however, contain rocks, it contains small cube-like objects that smell like strawberries. Not the typical strawberry that you would buy at a grocery store, the scent alone of this object causes you to feel as though you are on a strawberry farm, picking a strawberry for yourself and getting ready to indulge in it. It does not stop there, for when you actually open the lid and place one of these objects in your mouth something magical happens.
It feels cool, soothing, even a bit tarty almost as if you have placed strawberry-flavored ice in your mouth. The coolness reminds me of a chilly winter day in Canada, where it snows so much it is almost painful. Though the cold might be painful it is enjoyable as you could do many things on a winter day such as building a snowman, or even having a snowball fight:

The rush, excitement, and thrill of playing in the snow will forever be encapsulated within one of these tiny flavored cubes.
Eating spicy food is no laughing matter, to combat the raging heat experienced in these foods I will always have my trusty strawberry-flavored cubes by my side. These cubes mean so much more than a method to get rid of heat, they are a constant reminder of my fond Canadian winter memory and will always give me the feeling of winter in my mouth.
